We Ran From Bayou

Run 31

A nice turnout punctuated Run #31 with 27 Adults, not counting our Latecomers, and 3 children. The run started at Trinity Church on Bayou Blvd and crossed the street down to the Bayou before running along Tanglewood and crossing through the woods into the Whispers where the Turkey Eagle Split separated the Kennel.  The Turkeys, led by Hare Howard “Dirty Deeds” Thompson, turned immediately north and ran through the backside of Talbots and over into Cordova Square. The Eagles, led by Hare Timo “Tail Spinner” Hartigan, went all the way to the back of the Whispers and past a retention pond and came out on the back side of Target before crossing over and through the Bayou Corporate Center and through the woods along Grande Drive coming out behind Bonefish Grill. From there we crossed 12th Ave and entered the Airport property where we paralled the fence line and ran through the Softball Fields and Tennis Courts of Roger Scott. The Turkeys came out of Cordova Square and ran past Hancock Bank into Cordova Park and back to Trinity. The Eagles crossed Summit and ran through Hallmark Elementary and back to Trinity.

DFL Bee T'em Off Family

Our Circle was highlighted by some new songs for FRB Just Thomas (Lovoy) and FBI Tracey “Night Deposit” Carlin. The DFL runner was Scott “Hey Dude” Eddy while the DFL walker was the Rachel “Bee T’em Off” Family.

We also took the time to call a dazed and confused Barbara “Moma Flipped and Burnt” McNeil into the circle to simplify her name. Hence forth and forever more she shall be known as “Twisted Mother”. Before we closed the circle, Just Frank Jennings and Just Diane Martinez petitioned for a naming. We will be considering them both for naming at out next run.

As usual, the group adjourned for the On After at Ozone’s Pizza Pub, where we had a jolly good time.

Our next run will be on Dec 13th at 10AM for our Santa’s Helper Sunday Brunch Run. We’ll be serving Champagne instead of beer. Please join us. On On!!
