Random Thoughts…

I can’t believe it’s been a week since our last run.  What’s even harder to believe is that I’ve been back from Colorado now for 2 weeks!  I was meaning to blog some final thoughts about Colorado.  I was also meaning to recap last week’s run.  Where does the time go?!!

I did manage to sign up for the InterAm 2011 to be held in Savannah, GA and hosted by a congolomerate of North Florida and East Georgia Hash Clubs.  The rate is now at $169 and will stay there until November if it doesn’t sell out before then.  (This years Hash in Winter Park sold out a full year before the event).  I really have not idea what I’ll be doing on Columbus Day weekend in 2011, but if at all possible, I’ll be in Savannah.  That is for sure.  I have never had more fun, EVER, in my entire life… Okay, at least not that I can remember!

Well, here in East Hill, we run again 1 week from tonight, meeting Sunday at 5 pm on top of Jefferson St Parking Garage in Downtown Pensacola.  As usual, we’ll have plenty of beer and a good trail… (probably not as much shiggy as last week) and I hope 5 people don’t get bee stings this week.

If you weren’t there you probably didn’t hear about the bee sting thing.  Apparently one Hasher disturbed a hornet’s nest and the next 5 hashers paid for the interruption.  The good news is that one of our Hashers, Just Rachel, got a name out of saving Just Walter from several more stings (he only sustained 2). 

Hence forth and forever more, in the East Hill Hash House Harriers, Just Rachel shall be known at “Bee T’em Off”.

We concluded festivities and regrouped for our ON AFTER Social at Ozone’s Pizza Pub and proceeded to have a grand time.
